He is the Chief Economist and Assistant President of the Bank of China International Co. Ltd., leading research department and salesand trading department of the company. He is an adjunct professor of National School of Development in Peking University. He is a member of the Chief Economist Committee of Securities Association of China, and also a member of the China Chief Economist Forum. Prior to that, he was the Chief economist of Everbright Securities and Everbright Securities Asset Management for 8 years. Before joining Everbright, he used to be a senior economist with the UBS, and an economist with the World Bank. He also spent 2 years with the IMF as a part-time economist. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Peking University. He has published two best-selling textbooks in economics – "Lectures on Macroeconomics from a Chinese perspective", and "Lectures on Financial Economics".
