In fall 1996, CCER began to recruit master and doctoral students independently. The vision of the graduate programis to create the country’s most selective and rigorous training for economics researchers, through maintaining the highest educational standards and continuous improvement in economic teaching methodology and content. Over the course of its more than 20 years history, the achievements of its master’s degree and PHD graduates have earned unanimous praise from many quarters in NSD, for running arguably the most outstanding graduate and doctoral research program in economics in China.
