The top think tank of the Chinese economic world, Chinese Economists 50 Forum (CE50), introduces new members every five years. The member selection results for the 4th Forum were reported in the 82nd internal seminar of the Forum several days ago. Six professors from the National School of Development at Peking University were included as members for the new Forum.
The 10 new members selected this time include the following: Fang Xinghai, Vice Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission; Liao Min, Deputy Director of the General Office of the Central Financial and Economic Affairs Commission and Vice Minister of Finance; Liu Shangxi, Dean of the Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences; Liu Yuanchun, Vice President of Renmin University of China; Lu Lei, Deputy Director of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange; Xu Zhong, Director General of the Research Bureau of the People’s Bank of China; Zhang Xiaojing, Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Deputy Director-General of the National Institution for Finance and Development; Zhang Xiaopu, Deputy Director of the Macroeconomics Bureau of the General Office of the Central Financial and Economic Affairs Commission; Yao Yang, Dean of the National School of Development at Peking University, and Yu Bin, Director-General of the General Office of the Development Research Center of the State Council.

The Chinese Economists 50 Forum is a private and non-public academic organization jointly founded in Beijing by well-known Chinese economists in June 1998.
