FORECAST AND ANALYSIS FROM LEADING CHINESE ECONOMISTS

The China Center for Economic Research/National School of Development (CCER/NSD), joining with the National Committee on United States-China Relations, will launch a forum “China's Economy in 2010” in the New York Stock Exchange on January 7, 2010.

The Senior Vice President and Chief Economist, Professor Justin Yifu LIN, and the chairman of China Merchants Group, Mr. QIN Xiao, will deliver keynote speeches. The CCER China Economic Observer will announce its economic forecast for 2010. Professors Ho-Mou WU, Yang YAO, Feng LU, and Yiping HUANG from CCER/NSD as well as the director of the Brookings-Tsinghua Center, Dr. Geng XIAO, and the Chief Economist of the China Export-Import Bank, Dr. Jian-Ye WANG, will provide their opinions on the outlook of the Chinese economy and its structural adjustments.

The main audience of the forum will be Wall Street investors, bankers, and business people in other industries. The forum has drawn attentions from both Chinese media stationed in New York City and American local media. Xinhua News AgencyCCTV, CRI, China Daily, People's Daily, The Phoenix, The Associate Press, and The Reuters, among others, will cover the forum.
