National School of Development holds the 14th NBER-CCER Annual Conference “China and the World Economy”

    The 14th “China and the World Economy” anual conference was held on June 25th, 2012 at the Wanzhong Building of Peking University’s National School of Development. The conference was jointly organized by the US National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), the Peking University’s National School of Development, the China Center for Economic Research (CCER) and the School of Economics and Management (SEM) in Tsinghua University.

    Professor Martin Feldstein from Harvard University, Professor Alan Auerbach from the University of California at Berkeley,  Professor Wei Shangjin from Columbia University and economists from the NBER involved in an in-depth discussion of various economic hotspot issues with China’s economists from universities such as Peking University’s National School of Development and the Tsinghua SEM. Lin Yifu, Professor in the National School of Development, Former Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank, also participated in the conference and delivered a keynote speech.
