Call for Papers: Second CCER Summer Institute

In the past four decades, China has become the second-largest country in terms of its economic size. Therefore, understanding China’s economic development, and especially its growing role in the world economy, has become a tropic research topic for both academia and policy makers.

The National School of Development at Peking University-a scientific research and educational institution focusing on the comprehensive study of social sciences - has recently been established, based on the prestigious China Center for Economic Research (CCER) at Peking University. This new organization is committed to the internationalization, standardization and localization of the study of the social sciences in China, and to the innovation in disciplinary systems, academic perspectives and research methods. The National School of Development actively works on the studies of China and provides opportunities to exchange ideas about Chinese studies among scholars and researchers. The NSD has well recognized as one of the most important and prestigious economics research institute in China and one of the most high-profile think-tanks recognized by China’s central government.

Based on all above, we sincerely invite scholars from all over the world to participate in the Second CCER Summer Institute, which will be held on June 27-30, 2017 in Yantai of Shandong Province. The Summer Institute will focus on topics relating to Micro Applied Economics, Macro Applied Economics and Political Economics. There will be three parallel sessions throughout.

Application should be submitted to the Summer Institute secretariat, National School of Development (Jessie Dian Cheng, e-mail: ccersi2017@nsd.pku.edu.cn), and should ideally be submitted before 30 April 2017.We will let you know whether your paper has been accepted or not before 20 May 2017.
