PKU National School of Development Voted ‘2016 Most Influential Think-Tank’

On 20th February, 2017, the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences published its 2016 Chinese Think-Tank Report. Peking University’s National School of Development was again ranked no. 1 Higher Education Institute Think-tank and was named one of the most influential think-tanks.

The 2016 China Think-Tank Report, compiled by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, is the fourth annual report. In previous years, the NSD has performed equally well, coming top five ‘influential think-tanks’ and in other categories.

The NSD’s 2016 rankings are as follows:

- Systematic Influence – Higher Education think-tanks : No. 1

- Comprehensive Influence: No. 7

- Academic Influence: No. 3

- Professional Influence – Economics: No. 3

- Professional Influence – Social Sciences: No. 4

- Influence on the subject of Supply-side Structural Reform: No. 4

At the beginning of 2017, the NSD was named one of the ‘Top 10’ most influential Chinese think-tanks of 2016 in Guang Ming Daily.

About Peking University’s National School of Development Think-Tank

Peking University’s National School of Development’s primary concern is that of China’s economic development and, based upon China’s economic reform and practice of modernization, proactively puts forward major strategic, institutional, policy and fundamental theoretical issues that continue to focus on the evolution of the global landscape.
