The World Congress of the Game Theory Society is held every four years and has already been successfully held six times. It is universally recognized as the most authoritative and large-scale academic event in the fields of game theory, microeconomic theory, management science, and related disciplines.
All previous congresses were held in Europe and North America, making this the first time the event has taken place in Asia. The National School of Development at Peking University successfully bid to host the 7th World Congress of Game Theory Society in 2021, signifying the global recognition and validation of China's advancements in game theory research in recent years. The Game Theory Society also expressed hope that this congress would serve as an opportunity to showcase the level of game theory research in Asia to scholars worldwide.
Hosting this congress in China enhances the interaction and exchange between top scholars from around the world and Chinese scholars and professionals in related applied fields, further promoting the development of game theory in China. Organizing such a significant international academic event also facilitates international exchange and communication through academic collaboration, allowing participants from across the globe to gain a deeper understanding of China.
